Hospital Design Project is a bachelor’s architecture design studio project completed in 2010. The proposal explores the design of a low-rise hospital complex organised around a central healing courtyard. The aim was to create a calm, accessible and human-scaled healthcare environment where patients, visitors and staff can move through the building with clarity and comfort.

The design starts from the idea of separating hospital functions into clear zones: public access and reception, outpatient and consultation areas, clinical spaces, administration, staff areas and service routes. These zones are connected through a simple circulation structure, allowing visitors to easily understand the building while keeping clinical and service movement more controlled.

The form of the building is developed from a series of connected horizontal blocks. These blocks frame the central courtyard, create shaded entrances, and define outdoor spaces for waiting, gathering and orientation. The courtyard acts as the emotional and environmental heart of the project, bringing daylight, landscape and calm views into the hospital.

Architecturally, the project combines strong entrance hierarchy, linear circulation, courtyards, water features and landscaped areas to create a more welcoming healthcare experience. The final design balances functionality, privacy, wayfinding and a therapeutic atmosphere.
